Chinooks Edge School Division
Chinook’s Edge School Division invites applications from current Chinook’s Edge teachers for our 2025-27 Aspiring Leaders Program.
Aspiring Leaders is a cohort-based program for teachers who aspire to school-based administration or other leadership roles at the school or division level. The program is a cohort-based involving joint leadership sessions with school divisions across central Alberta. In addition to a leadership practicum in the second year of the program, participants will take part in sessions on the following leadership themes:
Fostering Effective Relationships
Instructional Leadership
Leading a Learning Community
Supervision, Evaluation, and Professional Growth
Crucial Conversations
Managing School Operations and Resources
Indigenous Education
Visionary Leadership
Interviewing for Success
Ideal candidates for the Aspiring Leaders Program are deeply committed to student success and eager to grow their leadership capacity to influence positive change in schools. Candidates should be reflective, open to feedback, and able to build strong, collaborative relationships. They demonstrate integrity, initiative, resilience and a passion for fostering inclusive, high-quality learning environments. Preference will be given to candidates with a minimum of three years’ experience as a teacher.

Candidates with principal support can submit a cover letter and resume, complete with your principal’s and two other work related references.
