A2526-02 Assistant Principals – Bonnyville Region

Northern Lights Public Schools is seeking two (2) full-time Assistant Principals (1.0 FTE) for the Bonnyville Region commencing with the start of the 2025-2026 school year. The division is seeking a dedicated and caring leader who will support the Principal to create a welcoming learning environment where all students learn and excel.

Reporting directly to the Principal, the successful candidate will:

• Ensure effective educational programming and school activities for students
• Develop and nurture a positive, supportive and inclusive school culture
• Assist the Principal to provide effective instructional leadership to school staff
• Work collaboratively with division office staff, the school admin team and staff, students and the School Council to achieve the goals of the school and the division
• Assist the Principal effectively manage school operations and resources
• Nurture strong relationships with students, staff, parents and the school community
• Teach courses that may be assigned by the Principal

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Possess a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
• Proven excellence as a classroom teacher and commitment to student success
• Possess or be eligible to achieve the Alberta Leadership Quality Standards Certificate
• Previous school administration experience is an asset
• The ability to work effectively with diverse student and parent groups
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
• Commitment to lifelong learning and professional improvement
• A strong background in leadership skills and effective instructional practices
