This is a Part-time position in Hintonburg, ON posted November 19, 2021.

SUMMARY The college is seeking part-time professors to teach credited courses in the Winter 2022 term.

These courses will need to be taught onsite.

243-D34-HR Digital Circuits III (2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs and 5 hours of availability per week) This course introduces AHDL and VHDL high level description languages to program PLDs, and FPGAs for the design of digital systems.

243-C56-HR LabView Programming (2 hours of theory, 3 hours of labs and 5 hours of availability per week) This course introduces students to a powerful system design software built specifically for tasks performed by engineers and scientists.

In this course, students will become familiar with the LabView environment and graphical programming.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES In a general way, the professor’s teaching load shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation of classes,labs and fieldwork; teaching classes; adaptation; support and supervisionof students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of correctionsat the students’ request; participation in pedagogical days organized by the College; participation in departmental meetings and required activities.

May also include departmental coordination; program committee coordination; special support and supervision activities; participation in program activities; program development; implementation and evaluation; and institutional development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) is required.

Teaching experience at the undergraduate or college level would be considered an asset.

Experience in soldering, bread boarding, circuit testing and troubleshooting is required.

Fluency in English, both oral and written is required.

Experience in Information Technology will be considered an asset.

A working knowledge of French, oral and reading, would be an asset.

SALARY RANGE (ANNUAL) 42,431.00$ 91,023.00$
