Training Administrator Clerk 11 This position is located in Victoria, BC.

This is a temporary opportunity for approximately one year; this may be extended and/or become a permanent placement.

Within the Ministry, the Integrated Resource Operations Division (IROD) has a dynamic role, in that the Branches within the Division regularly connect with every part of the broader natural resource sector, which includes a healthy balance of economic development and environmental stewardship aspects.

IROD’s Compliance and Enforcement Branch (CEB) delivers a full range of compliance and enforcement activities, including education, promotion and compliance with regulatory requirements and conducting major environmental investigations.

The CEB supports the management and delivery of compliance and enforcement activities in a manner that is timely, appropriate and consistent with the mandate of the Ministry.

The Training Administrator role in the Compliance and Enforcement Branch coordinates the financial and administrative processes for the Branch’s training programs.

This includes, but is not limited to: assisting in planning, booking and organizing single and multi training opportunities, including obtaining cost quotations and arranging for venues, equipment, and catering and preparing supply kits; entering training records into ELMS (Electronic Learning Management System) and, compiling evaluation summaries.

This position also manages the training calendar and is responsible for managing financial invoices and trackers for the training team.

This role requires sound judgement and excellent organizational skills, along with the ability to capably prioritize and manage your workload to meet deadlines, sometimes in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.

Additionally, this position requires an outstanding eye for detail to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: To be considered for this position, your application must clearly demonstrate how you meet the education and experience as outlined below: Secondary school graduation or equivalent.

Experience organizing aspects of training delivery, programs or events coordination.

Must be proficient in the use of MS Office suite software, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

Experience in multi-tasking and working in a fast-paced environment and effectively managing workload with minimal supervision.

Valid BC Class 5 driver’s licence, or equivalent.

Preference may be given for one or more of the following: Diploma or post-secondary courses in Business Administration.

Experience with contract and budget administration.

Experience in events management, including coordination of related logistics.

Experience using Adobe Acrobat Pro to design, edit and publish a variety of documents.

Experience with, and knowledge of, government financial policies and procedures.
