Data Production Specialist

About the Role The Data Production Specialist defines, prepares, processes, approves and delivers Numeris Canada currency audience data by: interpreting and challenging instructions to ensure they are operationally sound, configuring metadata through a variety of tools, and processing and analyzing data/output to ensure completeness/accuracy prior to release to members and third party processors (TPP).

Key Responsibilities Working closely with cross-functional partners, the Data Production Specialist configures metadata in control files that define the reporting of stations (based on Numeris reporting policy) in all data deliverables (i.e.

audience files, program files, software, member reports, TPP reports).

Prepares and processes syndicated currency data, custom currency data and test data using custom Numeris and third party applications/software.

Approves final data by analyzing summary reports, checking data is consistent across platforms/deliverables by using reports/client software and comparing current data to past data.

Troubleshoots data discrepancies with cross-functional partners.

Delivers data daily to members and TPPs via the Numeris Secure Site.

Quarterbacks initiatives that affect the department by liaising on changes with cross-functional partners, writing documentation, training the team Conducts User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on changes to inputs/survey processors/outputs via the Use Cases to ensure result is as expected and no issues with data/deliverable have resulted from the changes.

Backs up other departmental roles, as required.

Qualifications & Experience Post-Secondary required (University preferred) Analytical thinking; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; above average communication skills; organized; advanced MS Office (including: Access Database, Excel formulas and macros, and Visio) skills, understanding of relational data and file management; team player What’s in it for you?
