Hafford Central School is a Kindergarten – Grade

12 school with an approximate enrolment of 135 students, an FTE of 9.5

professional staff and 8 support staff. We are a rural community where

family, encouraging creativity and innovation is important to us. We are

Summary of Position

This posting is for a Temporary Part-Time Educational Assistant Position at Hafford Central School, commencing October 7th, 2024 and ending June 30, 2025. Hours of work are 6 hours per day, every second day-Monday to Friday. Educational Assistants are an important part of the school team and promote engagement, participation and success of students. Educational Assistants support students with intensive needs in five key areas: providing personal care, life skills and experiences, academic assistance, communication, and behavioural support as required by students and directed by teachers.

Qualifications

Minimum Grade 12 education with at least one (1) year relevant childcare experience

Post-secondary certificate from a recognized institution in Early Learning & Childcare, Youth Care Worker or equivalent program would be considered an asset
