mining, water delivery).

Our ‘Core’ courses are designed to prepare participants to write a related Environmental Operators Certification Program (EOCP) exam.

‘Elective’ courses are designed to develop technical, and workplace essential skills related to the water and wastewater sector and offer continuing education units (CEUs).

‘Specialized’ courses can be developed to meet the needs of a specific group.

Reporting to the Department Head, Workforce and Business Development, the YWWOP Instructor/Coordinator is primarily responsible for providing instructional, curriculum development, coordination and related duties in the Yukon Water and Wastewater Operator Program.

This position liaises with the Circuit Rider Training Program Coordinator to provide comprehensive training, support, and capacity building to students and operators.

The ideal applicant will have a bachelor’s degree or technical diploma in a relevant discipline and/or a related industry certification.

Familiarity with water and wastewater operations and the related regulatory environment and certifications is required.

Experience coordinating programs or projects, as well as experience teaching and/or giving presentations, is essential.

Strength in all forms of communication is required.

Other skills that will support success are the ability to understand budgets and project logistics and create and deliver reporting to funders in a timely manner; ability to perform course and curriculum development in an adult education context; proficiency in digital environments; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of government and non-government organizations.
