Manager, Local Market Risk, Group Risk Management

What is the opportunity?

As Manager, Local Market Risk, Group Risk Management (GRM) you help promote a “Best of Class” risk oversight environment.

This includes responsibility for the following core components: defining of approved tradable instruments/products, aiding in the construction and monitoring of market risks and limits and assisting with monitoring compliance and policy requirements.

What will you do?

Run the market risk reporting process(es) and ensure the accuracy of reports Analyze key trading strategies and products to ensure they are in line with risk tolerance and objectives Communicate deficiencies in risk process by: documenting gaps, developing solutions, and establishing timelines for addressing Ensure all key risk metrics are monitored in reporting process Ensure all limit breaches are correctly tracked, reported, and escalated correctly Investigate risks to provide analysis to senior management on risk trends and concerns Ensure model limitations are properly noted and reflected in risk measurement, reporting, and risk related decision making Coordinate between different stakeholders to facilitate project related tasks.

This will include larger scale projects like IBOR transition and FRTB onboarding, as well as smaller ad-hoc requests from different functional groups What do you need to succeed?

Must-have 3 years of relevant work experience is preferred Experience in a credit or market risk role is preferred; specifically, one that has touched on the understanding and ability to calculate one or more of the following: Value-at-Risk measurement and back-testing, Stress testing and scenario analysis, Sensitivity analysis and p/l decomposition MBA, MA, MS or equivalent with emphasis in finance, economics or a quantitative discipline is preferred Good communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills Nice-to-have Knowledge of markets and products including structured products and regulatory/compliance requirements Basic understanding of FRTB (Fundamental Review of the Trading Book) methodology What’s in it for you?
