Principal, Teachers’ Innovation Platform
– Analytics The opportunity This is a new exciting role within the Teachers’ Innovation Platform (TIP).

The Principal
– Analytics will play a key role within TIP to build out the analytics and insights function at the portfolio level to provide the TIP team with enhanced decision-making tools and capabilities to deliver on its strategy.

This will include actively managing the reporting from TIP’s Portfolio Companies to ensure a robust picture at the global level and assisting in the alignment of TIP’s overall performance management activities to the TIP and Corporate strategies.

The successful incumbent will also help deliver analytics to support the construction of regional team investment pipelines and will actively overlay portfolio construction considerations into the decision making framework.

You will champion efficiencies and enhancements across TIP’s business but notably in the areas of portfolio-level forecasting, investment pipelines, and analytics to support portfolio construction.

The position will also focus on ensuring high quality information sharing between TIP and other internal partners and coordinated participation in internal initiatives.

Who you’ll work with You will work in a dynamic team-based environment, directly supporting senior team members across sectors and geographic regions.

What you’ll do Lead implementation of new enterprise tools and data solutions to inform and enable TIP’s business decisions including those related to portfolio company tracking Quarterback valuations, both mid-year and year end Lead simulations and forecasts to facilitate portfolio construction decisions Lead analyses related to TIP risk utilization and TIP benchmark Support design of agenda for quarterly meeting of TIP Portfolio Review Committee and coordinate production of materials for this meeting Coordinate the development of TIP’s strategic plans, annual scorecards and budgets Serve as key liaison for TIP to other departments including Total Fund Management, Risk, Investment Finance, Internal Audit, Compliance, etc.

Assemble internal reports for key internal stakeholders including CIO and Board Coordinate responses to support internal compliance initiatives Lead evolution of internal operations to ensure best practices, efficiency and to facilitate our global business Act as TIP’s advocate and representative on all internal operating and governance initiatives Support analytical aspects of the portfolio value creation initiative Plan the development of further market facing analytics initiatives to help our investors better understand and glean insights about the innovation ecosystem What you’ll need Minimum of five years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, financial University graduate preferably in business, economics, finance or related Professional qualification (CPA, CFA, CBV) preferred Proven track record of building constructive relationships across organizational boundaries Knowledge of valuations and concepts of risk (VaR) Strong analytical and data management skills.
