POSITION: Secondary Teacher – temporary
ASSIGNMENT: Home Economics – Foods/Nutrition (Gr 10-12)
FTE: 1.0
LOCATION: Correlieu Secondary School
EFFECTIVE DATES: Commencing September 1, 2024 until January 31, 2025, or earlier depending on the return of the incumbent
Basic Qualification: A successful candidate will hold a valid BC Teaching Certificate and be a member in good standing in the BC Ministry of Education, Teacher Regulation Branch AND possess one or more of the following:
Training Specialization: Secondary Education with a major in Home Economics
Related Teaching Experience: Recent successful experience as a Secondary Home Economics Teacher
A Reasonable Expectation: based on a teacher's skills, abilities, professional development, and overall classroom teaching experience, that the teacher will be able to perform the duties in a successful manner in collaboration with other professional staff.
Additional Qualifications:
Two or more courses at the 100 or 200 level in Foods/Nutrition
Have Food Safe Certification and proficiency with food equipment
Other:

The starting annual salary for the full time Teacher ranges from $61,175 to $109,520 with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. We also offer a competitive benefits package and pension.
