Job Description Samaritan Place is a Catholic faith-based special care home, owned by Emmanuel Health.

Samaritan Place is proud to serve the health needs of Saskatoon and surrounding communities.

Reporting to the Executive Director of St.

Ann’s Senior Citizens Village, Samaritan Place and the Hospice at Glengarda, the Site Lead will be accountable for leadership of this mission-driven organization and will have the authority, and be responsible, for the day to day management of Samaritan Place and the services and programs it operates, including ensuring their effective and efficient operation.

The Site Lead manages and operates the organization in conformity with the Health Ethics Guide as approved by the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and provides leadership to ensure the mission, vision and values are integrated within Samaritan Place.

The Site Lead will have a clear mandate to lead and manage change aimed at delivering excellence in health care services within the functions and programs of Samaritan place.

The Site Lead provides leadership for Emmanuel Health initiatives, as delegated by the Executive Director.

The Site Lead will embrace the principles of Catholic health care, including honouring the dignity and respect of all persons.

The successful candidate will possess a combination of relevant educational qualifications and leadership experience, including creating a people-centered organizational culture.

Experience in an executive role, working in the long-term care or health care sector and a professional designation are definite assets.

Job Benefits Competitive Relocation Package n/a Job Qualifications EDUCATION: A post-graduate degree in Health Administration or equivalent.

Certified Health Executive (CHE) and successful completion of a recognized Catholic Health Leadership Program/Course an asset.

EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years leadership and managerial experience in health program administration or equivalent experience.

A broad understanding of, and experience in, the various functional areas as well as in the healing ministry of the Catholic Church.

Completion of an Emmanuel Health Recognized Catholic Health Leadership Program will be a required within 2 years of hiring date.

Additional Information Facility Specific Number of Staff: 82 FTE Total Budget: $10.33M Total Number of Beds: 100 Long Term Care beds; 20 of the beds are part of a companion suite, where a significant other also lives on site Working in Canada Candidates are required to be legally entitled to work in Canada to apply on this position.
