Speech and Language Pathologist

Conseil en Éducation des Premières Nations (CEPN)

This is a Contract position in Kahnawake, QC posted November 13, 2022.

On a day-to-day basis, the role of the speech pathologist is to evaluate the functions of language and speech.

Key responsibilities:

  • To develop functional capabilities and identify potential compensatory aids;
  • To develop and implement intervention plans to reduce the child’s language-related disabilities;
  • To conduct assessments for a child/youth clientele, all in accordance with the standards of the Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Québec;
  • To work in a variety of settings such as schools, CPE, daycare centres and the Health Centre.


  • Master’s degree in Speech-Pathology and is a member of the Ordre des Orthophonistes et Audiologistes du Québec;
  • Experience working with elementary aged populations;
  • Experience working with children having developmental challenges is an asset (Autism, global developmental delay etc,);
  • Previous work experience in a first nations’ community is a definite asset.
