Teachers: Modern Languages – French (Winter 2022)

This is a Contract position in Levis, ns posted November 20, 2021.

SUMMARY The college is seeking three (3) full-time and part-time professors to teach credited courses ONSITE within the Modern Languages department in the Winter 2022 term.

POSITION 1 (Full-Time) (2 hours of theory, 1 hour of lab and 3 hours of availability per week for each course) 602-101-MQ Langue franaise et communication Un cours qui vise dvelopper la communication crite et orale chez llve, en mettant laccent sur les lments essentiels de la comprhension et de lexpression crite.

602-102-MQ Langue franaise et culture Un cours qui aide llve dvelopper sa connaissance de la culture et de la littrature francophones.

602-CFB-HR criture technique Il vise consolider les comptences acquises au cours de la formation gnrale et permet lapprentissage du vocabulaire adapt au champ dtudes.

602-CFX-HR Rdaction et lexicologie Dans ce cours, les lves pourront explorer la lexicologie gnrale, corriger les anglicismes, approfondir le vocabulaire propre leur champ dtudes et perfectionner leurs techniques dcriture.

POSITION 2 (Full-Time) (2 hours of theory, 1 hour of lab and 3 hours of availability per week for each course) 602-103-MQ Culture franaise et littrature Ce cours amnera llve traiter dun sujet culturel et littraire dune faon logique tout en respectant le code grammatical et orthographique.

602-CFC-HR Rdaction et vocabulaire technique Il aide llve approfondir ses connaissances de la langue franaise, explore de faon intensive la lexicologie et le vocabulaire spcifique au champ dtudes et permet llve de perfectionner ses techniques dcriture.

602-CFW-HR Composition et terminologie L’accent sera mis sur la consolidation de la grammaire, sur lanalyse et la composition de textes et sur lacquisition du vocabulaire reli au champ dtudes.

602-CFX-HR Rdaction et lexicologie Dans ce cours, les lves pourront explorer la lexicologie gnrale, corriger les anglicismes, approfondir le vocabulaire propre leur champ dtudes et perfectionner leurs techniques dcriture.

Clo (Centre de langues crites et orales) Teaching and Learning Center POSITION 3 (Part-Time) (2 sections of 2 hours of theory, 1 hour of lab and 3 hours of availability each per week) 602-100-MQ Langue franaise I Ce cours vise rendre llve capable de communiquer en franais avec une certaine aisance loral et lcrit.

L’lve devra appliquer les notions grammaticales de base de la communication en franais courant.

(2 hours of theory, 1 hour of lab and 3 hours of availability per week) 602-CFX-HR Rdaction et lexicologie Dans ce cours, les lves pourront explorer la lexicologie gnrale, corriger les anglicismes, approfondir le vocabulaire propre leur champ dtudes et perfectionner leurs techniques dcriture.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES In a general way, the professor’s teaching load shall include: preparation of course outline; preparation of classes, labs and fieldwork; teaching classes, labs and fieldwork; adaptation; support and supervision of students; preparation, invigilation and correction of examinations; revision of corrections at the students request; participation in pedagogical days organized by the College; participation in departmental meetings and required activities.

May also include departmental coordination; program committee coordination; special support and supervision activities; participation in program activities; program development; implementation and evaluation; and institutional development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED Minimum of a Masters degree in French as a Second Language, in French Literature or in a related field, and a combination of industry experience related to the courses being taught.

Teaching experience would be considered an asset.

– 91,023.00$
