Technical Trainer in Animal Health

Charles River Laboratories

This is a Contract position in Senneville, QC posted November 18, 2021.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who enjoys working with animals while helping people improve, learn and develop various technical skills. If you are passionate about training and development, we want to meet you!

This position is responsible for assisting in the training of technical staff, ensuring that training records are up to date and that techniques taught are done in a manner that meets established standards.

RESPONSABILITIES :

• Train staff on techniques and how to work with live animals.
• Inspire staff to have high standards for :
o Animal welfare,
o occupational health and safety
o Quality of work
• Coach and support individuals in the production environment following training.
• Participate in curriculum development projects for training and continuous improvement of the team.
• Performs technical tasks following the guidelines of the study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and following Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
• Provide assistance to operations as needed.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

•    Experience: 3 or more years of experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered an acceptable substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
•    Good communicator in English and French 
•    Training skills
•    Ability to work well in teams in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
•    Experience in a production related environment is an asset
